Katie Vonderheide is a Los Angeles based multidisciplinary artist specializing in precision painting. Their sign painting, mural, and fabrication work can be found across LA in public spaces, storefronts, and museums. They started the painting company, Beautification Solutions, in 2011 while running a gallery in East Hollywood. Inspired by the legacy of sign painting and the history of murals, their dream is to transform the built environment and public spaces. The work they do represents a multitude of styles, meeting every prompt with a creative solution.

Artist’s note:
The original copy was simply “awful good” but when I realized it was one letter away from "lawful good" I went with it, expanded and turned it into a triptych - a more conceptual piece that's in reference to an alignment chart. Since it was more conceptual I thought a simple black on white background worked well and as I was painting I couldn't help but see the Baldessari reference - one of my favorite artists.
