DREAM HOUSE WORKSHOP, Sunday, January 18th, 10am - 1pm 

Description: 
A sewing workshop hosted by artist and clothing designer, Ruby Webb of FiOT, in which we will think, talk about and (mostly) hand sew our own dream house pillow and then dream on that house! A practical and playful manifestation for the year ahead. Your house can be whatever you please, inside or out, simple or elaborate, singular or multiple floors or whatever kind of "home" you can sew up!

This workshop is for lovers of home, houses, what they represent, and everything that goes inside of them!

During the 3 hour workshop participants will pick through and cut provided fabric scraps to build their very own dream house. The inside of your house will be stuffed with small scraps that are offcuts from Ruby's own sewing studio. (You'll find they add a delightful and comforting weight to the pillow over traditional stuffing.) Participants are also welcome to bring any of their own meaningful fabric scraps that they may want to use in their creation. As a special bonus, Ruby will be providing a take home goodie bag of a little DIY house keychain project!

As with all of our workshops at Happy Anyway, we encourage you to use your imagination, to take what instruction you like but ultimately create what you want - as long as it remains respectful both to the instructor and spirit of the workshop.

**Important - Please Read before signing up!**

Ruby will help guide you in the sewing process but it is recommended that all workshop participants come with some basic sewing experience. At minimum you should know how to thread a needle, how to sew a running and/backstitch and how to knot off your thread. Your house will be largely hand sewn but we do plan to have a machine or two on hand to share.

Everyone hand sews at different speeds and it is possible you will not finish your pillow in the allotted time. Participants are encouraged to finish their project at home and can take any fabric with them that they need to complete their piece. 

Cancellation Policy: If you can't make the workshop for any reason, please let us know ASAP as we will contact anyone who has been put on a waitlist. Cancellations made by January 11th will receive a 85% refund. No refunds will be given for cancellation made after January 11th. However, you are able to transfer you ticket to a friend - just let us know!
